The News

In a display of animal exploitation rarely seen on TV, filmmaker and self-described conservationist Paul Rosolies lathers a “snake-proof suit” with pig’s blood and gets “eaten alive” by an anaconda in the Amazon jungle. The Discovery Channel, which will air the show in December, is assuring critics that the snake does not die during the stunt.

In the teaser video, we see Rosolies and his crew snatch the snake out of the water and carry her away like she’s their personal property.

Mr. Rosolies appears to be taking a page out of the late Steve Irwin’s playbook — taunting, tormenting and provoking wild animals for profit under the guise of education and conservation. Best know for his TV show Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray in 2006. Disgusting, blatant exploitation! Hideous and cruel animal abuse! Misinformation for sensationalism! You could not pay me to watch this crap! A total discredit to the DC’s reputation! I’ll have nothing further to do with any group or media outlet that promotes ignorance and superstition rather than accurate, scientific information! Shame! Shame! Shame on the Discovery Channel!Puke!Yech!

  3. The “investigation Discovery” channel exposes and condemns human violence to other human beings: rape, murder, molestation, child pornography, etc., but when it comes to inflicting these same vicious assaults on the members of other animal species, Discovery Communications has no problem. For this reason, I hope you fail as an entertainment organization, because you are intentionally cruel to animals – you add misery and abuse to the world – and think nothing of it.

  4. You suck!!! Get a life…I’ve had enough of animal slavery for greed, to boost your ratings!!!

  5. Carl denaro says:

  6. Tammy Koross says:

How is this STUNT helping wildlife? What is it doing for conservation? Nothing! It is animal abuse! To say that the snake will not be harmed is a lie! It must waist its energy to swallow a man and waist more energy to expel him. That can cause injury to the snake! What if the snake does not expel him? Will the poor animal be cut open to save this stupid man?

  7. Adriana Gonzslez says:

Stop using animals. Do something better and productivity.
