Bull Riding Fans Clash with Animal Rights Protesters in New York City
The News
It was business as usual at the annual bull riding rodeo in NYC, with patrons greeting protesters with obscene gestures; accusing them of wearing leather shoes; and promising to eat “a juicy steak” after the show.
For the past decade, Professional Bull Riders (PBR) has, as a part of its national tour, staged a three day rodeo at Madison Square Garden in New York City. And, each year, animal rights activists have protested at the entrance.

While the majority of bull riding patrons who stopped to engage with the protesters during the three days of protests were hostile and defensive, a few attempted to convince them that the bulls are treated with great care because they earn a living for the riders. Activists in NYC say they have heard that before, as that is the same argument used by the horse-drawn carriage operators who drive their horses through the congested streets of midtown Manhattan.

well first of all they dont jolt the animal with electricity on the genitals. thatwould fry his sperm cells causing him to not be able to reproduce nd the bulls calves is how money is mad e . secondly the rope doesnt hurt them their hide is too thick its like a person wearing a belt. thirdly the spurs dont dig in they are dull and blunt and are only there for grip so the cowboys feet dont slide around. fourth the bulls only buck because of a strap wrapped around the area in front of the back legs not touching his testicles lie most crybabys thin……….also if yu think these bulls have a terrible home life youre wrong these proffesional bucking buls get treated as if they are the owners children if any of yu peta fraks want to debate or want more info on the sport of bull riding message me and iw ill prove yu wrong or inform yu my facebook is lane chandler-ragsdale……and remember kids there are only two genders
Another reason I don’t have to go to a PBR event to know something about the events is because I talk to PBR contractors online. And I see their videos and photographs that they post on their personal pages. I’m friends with one contractor who tells me things about what’s going on when she attends events.
